The aim is to rethink the role of collectivity on sound and place-making. It is possible to understand everyday life rhythms of neighborhood through understanding and analyzing the sound characteristics. When it comes to defining the sound, it is worth mentioning the spontaneity or sequences of sound rather than patterns. Each sound has its own time and space but in the city, they overlap and create different compositions and perceptions. The idea is to focus on the collectivity of the constantly changing sound and the relationship between sound, event and space. With changing time and space, the sound can be seen as a mobile actor in the circle.

While setting the theme of the project, it is important to understand the informations that the urban space gives us. In the open space of an urban area, the sound can be discovered as an actor of practice of everyday life. The link between human, non-human and spatial sources can be revealed by the layers of the sound.

To understand the spatial conditions and different sound layers, recording while moving helps to discover changing and evolving characteristics of sound and space. Using sound recorders and specific method related to the theme allow to address and focus on the field. It is necessary to consider the interaction of neighbors as it is in sound-making, so using abandoned infrastructural urban spaces such as park, parking lot, square should be considered to activate collective production. This also allows to manage common resources in a local scale. The local strategy can be seen as a part of a big network of city scale strategy.
